Barrow Raiders are back in action in the Betfred Championship this Sunday as they prepare to do battle against Cumbrian rivals Workington Town.
The Raiders’ full attention will now be placed on the league, following the 46-6 defeat at home to Featherstone Rovers in the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup semi-final last Sunday.
Paul Crarey’s men have already beaten Workington Town twice this year and will be hoping to record a hat-trick of wins over their local rivals, which could see the Raiders climb up to fifth in the Betfred Championship table.
The Opposition

Workington Town are yet to win a game in the Betfred Championship this season, conceding 339 points in ten matches while scoring just 116.
The two teams have already met twice in 2022; with the first meeting in a pre-season friendly in January which saw the Raiders claim a 24-12 victory at the Matt Johnson Prestige Stadium in particularly harsh conditions.
The second came in March during the fifth round of the Challenge Cup, with the Raiders once again triumphing over their local rivals 32-18.
Following Sunday’s clash, Raiders are expected to meet Town at Derwent Park in the league for their fourth bout in a year.
