After three successive trips to Yorkshire, Barrow Raiders are back on home soil to face York City Knights on Monday night.

The fixture, which kicks off at 7:45pm, will take place in front of the Premier Sports cameras.

The Raiders haven’t played at the Matt Johnson Prestige Stadium since a 30-18 defeat to Batley Bulldogs in the Betfred Championship on Sunday 3 April.

It promises to be a tough assignment against an in-form Knights side boasting seven wins from their opening nine league matches.

James Ford’s Knights are flying high in the Betfred Championship after nine rounds, with their only two league defeats coming in Round 1 and Round 4 against Featherstone Rovers and Leigh Centurions – the two off-season favourites for promotion.

Since their 38-12 Betfred Challenge Cup to Whitehaven in mid-March, the club have won four straight league matches, conceding an average of just 10.5 points per game in that time.

With a 44-18 victory recorded over Workington Town on their last trip to Cumbria, the Knights will arrive in Barrow full of confidence ahead of Monday’s televised fixture.
