Becca Harley joins Barrow Ladies ahead of 2025 season

Barrow Raiders Ladies have made another addition to their first team squad ahead of the 2025 season, bringing in young outside back Becca Harley.

Becca is the younger sister of Fran Harley, who was promoted to the Raiders Ladies first team in September 2023 and made her Betfred Women’s Super League debut at the end of last season against St Helens.

Becca featured for the Raiders Ladies reserves last season and, after impressing during the club’s recent open trials, was asked by head coach Amanda Wilkinson to join the first team squad on trial.

Operating primarily as a winger or centre, the 20-year-old has done enough to earn a first team spot for the 2025 season, with squad numbers expected to be confirmed later this week.

“I’m absolutely buzzing to be playing for Barrow now,” Harley said.

“This is where I was born, and it means a lot to play with my sister as part of the Raiders Ladies setup. I can’t wait for the new season to begin.”

Barrow Ladies head coach Amanda Wilkinson said: “Becca impressed in the Under 19s open trials with her positive attitude, athleticism and willingness to learn.

“I invited her to trial with our Super League squad and she has completed the whole of pre-season so far, smashing the skills and drills, embracing the grind and getting in the gains.

“She is a natural player, and I’m confident that she has all the makings of a great back for Barrow.”
