Barrow Raiders Ladies have confirmed the arrival of utility forward Lucy Dickinson ahead of the 2025 season.

The 28-year-old has featured heavily for the club’s reserve side over the past two years, captaining the team last season.

Dickinson, who has played at both prop and as a second-rower for the reserves, will add more firepower to Amanda Wilkinson’s side ahead of the new campaign.

The Raiders Ladies return to competitive action in April when the Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup group stages take place.

The 2025 league season will begin with a trip to the newly-promoted Leigh Leopards on Sunday 18 May.

Dickinson becomes the Raiders Ladies’ second off-season addition, following on from Beth Pattinson’s return to the club back in November.

On the move, Dickinson said: “Barrow Ladies has been a big part of my life for the last eight years.

“Being back where it all started means a lot, and I can’t wait for the season to begin.”

Barrow Ladies head coach Amanda Wilkinson said: “Lucy impressed me at the recent open trials, so I invited her to train and trial with us before Christmas.

“She has gone on to impress me with her attitude and commitment.

“She is such a strong and hard-working player that is always eager to learn. She is a great forward with lots of potential, and I’m looking forward to watching develop within the squad.”
